Today in writing class, we learned about a man name Matt Gutts, and his 30- day challenges. Matt thought that his life felt like he is stuck in a rut. So he wanted to do things he wanted to in 30 days. Matt wrote a novel, walked 10,000 steps everyday, and didn't use Twitter for 30 days. We watched a video of Matt talking about his 30 day challenges. From that video, I thought of my challenges to change my habits.
First of all, I will read fifteen pages of a book everyday. In order to achieve my first goal, I am going to borrow books from the library. There are many times I could read. On my resting time, self- study, and second self- study time too. However, because I want to rest on my resting times, I will read the fifteen pages on the first self- study. If I couldn't read all fifteen pages because of my homeworks or other studing things, I can read it on the second self- study. In case some- day I might not read fifteen pages, if I don't read, I will read during the time I am using my phone.
Second, I will go to bed before twelve o'clock. I have several steps to sleep before twelve o'clock. I will brush my teeth and wash my-self before I do my first self- study. Then, I will be able to go to bed right after I get back from seond self- study. Also, I should sleep as soon as I get back from second self- study, and not talk with my room mates if I want to sleep before twelve. However, if I didn't take a shower even until the time I should go to bed, I will just do it the next morning's rest time.
Third, I will take the stairs if it is less than five floors. To gain my goal of taking the stairs as possible, I will strart with the easiest step, going down from the cafeteria to my dorm room. Next, if that gets easy, I will go up from my dorm to the cafeteria. At last, if the second step gets easy for me too, I am going to try goig up from the first floor to my dorm room. However, I don't think it will be possible for me.
In concluaion, I will try my best to keep and execute my three 30 day challenges, which are taking stairs, reading, and sleeping before twelve o'clock. I hope you make a 30 day challenge after you read my writing.
